Melissa and Heidi collaborate as a team to strengthen and maximize your child’s therapy experience!
Melissa Gould, OTR/L Melissa Gould received her bachelor degree in Telecommunications from the University of Florida in 1995. She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 1998 with a bachelor of science in Occupational Therapy. She has been working in pediatrics for over 19 years. Melissa specializes in developing and implementing strategies related to fine motor (hand use/handwriting), visual motor, reflex integration and sensory processing for children.Her pediatric experience includes working in the home, clinic and school setting with ages 0-12. Additionally, she has extensive knowledge in NDT treatment, emotional/social dysfunction, SIPT certified, and is trained in Therapeutic Listening. Her years of experience and excellence in care contribute to her outstanding reputation as a top therapist in Atlanta. Melissa resides in Sandy Springs with her husband and two young daughters. She has guided one of her daughters successfully through sensory integration issues, which makes this specialty dear to her heart. Heidi Martin, MS OTR/L Heidi received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Georgia in 1994. She continued her education by earning an additional Bachelor and Master degree in Occupational Therapy from Brenau University in 1999. She has been a pediatric therapist for over 15 years. Her therapy experience covers all ages. Her pediatric experience includes working in the home, clinic and school setting with ages 0-12. Heidi specializes in developing and implementing strategies related to fine motor (hand use/handwriting), visual motor, reflex integration and sensory processing for children. She has earned a reputation in several Atlanta schools for effectively treating children with these specialties as well as attention and organizational issues. She is SIPT certified for sensory processing disorders. Additional clinical experience includes Autism/Asperger Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and Learning Disabilities. She is passionate about helping kids and families progress towards achieving their goals. She has two boys, ages 12 and 14. |
